The New 7 World Wonders were finally out in the year 2007 . The Winners were announced on August 7,2007 in Lisbon. The Winners were decided based on the votes of more than 100 million people through various channels like SMS , Internet or Telephone Calls.
Taj Mahal and Great Wall of China retained their status, thanks to their population and overwhelming response from their people. Rest of all the previous world wonders didn't feature in the new list of world wonders.
